Windsor Lodge was built as a quaint hunting lodge in 1909 at Kalika Estate on the outskirts of Ranikhet cantonment. Most of Ranikhet’s Sprawling bungalows were built and owned by shah family in late 19th century. Today, the Windsor Lodge complex comprises seven building, lovingly restored to retain their colonial charm. Liberal use of timber and stone brought alive their vibrant antiquity. Late 19th and early 20th century styles and designs have been synergized with modern day amenities and safety requirements.

Located at a vantage point atop a wooded hillock, Windsor Lodge commands spectacular views of snow – capped Himalayan peaks, thick oak, pine and cedar forests and Ranikhet golf course.
