Ranikhet Cottage is a tastefully made and warmly decorated & neatly kept cottage a home away from home. the caretaker- a local, mr shankar is available full time to look after our guests- he's also an excellent cook- can serve an Indian meal in half an hour flat- including non veg. all facilities for your comfort have been catered for- but please treat it as a home- it’s not meant to be a hotel or a guest house- we welcome all our guests with warmth.

Accommodation and facilities
We have even kept a visitors book for your valuable comments and suggestions, which are immediately acted upon. Since water is scarce in the hills, we request for guests to conserve and use it judiciously. Arrangements are made for fresh spring water twice a day that fills up the tanks (600 liters).
A recently completed house, done in all wood, with stone tiles on the exterior located in the Kumaoni village of Digoti, Majkhali, Ranikhet, It has been lovingly built by the owners, taking care to provide all the basic comforts of home living. The huge windows look out on every side. The inside beckons you out and the outside welcomes you in. ... everywhere you look here is something to delight the eye. The air is pure & fresh & the views are captivating in whichever part of the house you may be. Every room is merging, yet distinct from the other. The cottage has its own, independent sit-out areas, either by the lawn or the balcony, with an outdoor bar and spacious en-suite bathrooms. This place is especially for those who love the peace and tranquility of the mountains. It is a bird watcher’s paradise and if you are really lucky, you might even spot the local panther out on his night-time prowl, although the chances of sighting are very rare.

Each room has large windows and a high pine roof- the view of magnificent Himalayan ranges is same from all rooms plus there is a balcony at first floor and a huge sit-out garden on the ground floor. There is a common dining room with a fine Sheesham dining – table that seats 8 persons next to the ultra -modern kitchen which is fully stacked and is served by the caretaker -cum cook-Mr Shankar. Guests can cook their own food too.
On special request and with advance notice, we can arrange accommodation & meals for your driver/servant, on nominal payment, which will be intimated on arrival. On site-thali meals are also available, on payment, plus meals can be ordered from two nearby restaurants at a special discount.
