Emily Lodge was built in 1864 by a gun toting, whiskey guzzling Englishman by the name of Dr. Stevens, we know this for sure as it was bought by the present owner Mr. C.K.Singh in 1969 and along with the house came all the antiques and an even more antiquated and grizzled old codger named Dan Singh. Dan Singh was the gardener and had served under Dr. Stevens as a young man, he had fantastic tales to tell of ?the good old days?.

He spoke of fabulous hunting trips with the then middle aged doctor who if Dan Singh is to be believed shot up more of the flora than the fauna proving the saying ? gun powder and alcohol do not mix? right. Dr. Stevens also happened to be a friend of the famous hunter of man eating tigers and leopards Jim Corbett as they were neighbours and shared their love of the outdoors.

Pangot is like stepping into a fairytale village. Day 01 : Arrive Delhi-Corbett
Tiger, Corbett National Park, Nainital. Arrive Delhi Airport/Railway Station and transfer to vehicle/cab, straight drive to Corbett National Park (310 kms. / 7 hrs. drive from Delhi). Arrive and proceed to your jungle resort. Later at evening go for Jeep Safari in Corbett National Park and later rest of the day is free to explore various scenic sights or interdependent activities in Resort. Night stay in Corbett.

Day 02 : Jim Corbett
Early this morning enjoy a game drive in the park by jeep to view some of the most exotic wildlife with natural flora and fauna in jungle. This afternoon proceed for yet another game viewing drive and try your luck to spot the tiger. If luck persists you can have a sighting of Tigers, Elephants, Deers, Monkeys and host of bird species. Day 1 Arrive at Kathgodam drive to Bhimtal see pic 1-4

Drive to Cottage with Taxi to Luxury Cottage at Bhimtal. After refreshment and breakfast visit Bhimtal Lake and then Nakuchiatal Lake. Bhimtal is situated at an altitude of 1370 mts above sea level and is about 22 kms from Nainital. The major attraction in Bhimtal is the Bhimtal Lake.

Bhimeshwara Mahadev Temple, an old Shiva temple on the bank of Bhimtal lake. Near the Bhimeshwar temple is the small hill known as Garg Parvat, which is the source of the river Gargi.

Nal Damyanti Tal, is a small natural lake about 2 kms from Bhimtal.

About 5 kms from Bhimtal is a hill known as Hidimba Parvat named after the demoness Hidimba of Mahabharata.
