THE ECO - FRIENDLY GREEN RESORT Mountain Trail, situated at 2300 m (8000 ft. ) asl, only 330 kms from Delhi and 46 kms from Nainital, is an idyllic spot whereyou would love to spend your holiday. Set on a gentle hill slope, facing the Himalayas, deep valleys and a beautiful sunrise, located in the middle of a 2-1/2 acre orchard of over 100 fruit trees & flower beds of over 70 variety of flowers, Mountain trail is truly a round the year resort. In summer it has the ideal climate for a getaway, with pleasant days & cool nights. During monsoon months it is lush green, as far as your eyes can see. Autumn brings splashes of rust and vermillon hues to the trees while winter covers it in a blanket of snow.

Though Mountain Trail is the ONLY classified resort in Mukteshwar ( by Dept. of Tourism, Govt. of India), it does not boast of Luxury. It however assures of all basic amenities, comfort, cleanliness, hygiene, delicious homelike food & courteous services.

ACCOMMODATION IN RESORT
The architecture is designed to blend with nature. This idyllic small resort is built entirely in the hill cottage style. The TEN 14' X 14' DBL- Bedrooms have a very decent size attached western toilet with a verandah or glazed sit out. In addition it has TWO detached well furnished quadruple rooms, which have a quiet and private environment with mini lawns to themselves.

FACILITIES
The resort has a cozy multicuisine restaurant serving North Indian Cuisine, Kumaoni cuisine & select Chinese & Continental dishes. It has a Conference cum Club Hall equipped with a mini home theatre system, a gift shop with table tennis & Carrom, a well stocked library, a gift shop selling handicrafts & local NGO products, doctor on call, travel helpdesk, Hot/Cold running water minimum 6 hours a days, stand by generators, separate Driver Accomodation at reasonable charges. To maintain serenity and ambience we have no TVS in rooms.

The resort is the first in Mukteshwar which brought the destination on the tourism map, thus uplifting the local community. It employs 100% local labour & services. Some of the current employees have worked as labourers with the project & are with us for the last 18 Years. Housekeeping is instructed strictly to switch the 'room mains' off as soon as guests leaves/departs. To save energy 90% of the bulbs used are CFL that too mostly of 8-11 watts range. Water is from a Natural spring source & collected by harvesting rain water. Water usage guidelines are displayed in each room. Towels / Linen suggested not to wash everyday.

Mukteshwar is a town and tourist destination situated at a height of 7500 feet, 51 km from Nainital. On top of Mukteshwar a 350 year old temple of lord Shiva known as Mukteshwar Dham. The famous IVRI campus (Indian Veterinary Research Institute) is also situtated at Mukteshwar. Places of Interest in Mukteshwar includes Chauli ki Jali, where you can enjoy rock climbing and rappelling in a deep valley from where you can get the entire view of kumoun region and fell the presence on top of the world.

Himalayan complete ranges on back side of the Temple, including India’s second highest peak Nanda Devi can be best viewed from here. The sunrise point is at the government-run PWD Guest House is one of the beautiful attraction of Mukteshwar where you can enjoy a cup of tea in cool airy breezes.
