Jeep Safari in Jim Corbett

Travelling inside the Park :
Visitors can move about in vehicles inside the park area after making entries at the respective gates. Tourists can drive their own cars inside Corbett or can hire private Jeeps/Gypsies from Ramnagar. It is advisable to refuel vehicles before entering the park because there is no fuel station beyond Ramnagar.

Another option is to undertake a day-tour conducted by the park on a safari bus. However, the capacity for this facility is limited. Walking or trekking inside the park is not allowed except at certain places. Specific trails for vehicles are maintained to enable visitors to watch wildlife at Corbett. Driving off track it is not allowed for reasons of safety. It is to be noted that driving after sunset is strictly prohibited.

Visitors can enjoy canter safari till Dhikala portion of Corbett. There are 2 slots for canter safari

Jim Corbett is a town and tourist destination park situated at a height of 7500 feet, 51 km from Nainital. On top of Corbett a 350 year old temple of lord Shiva known as Corbett Dham. The famous ICRI campus is also situtated at Corbett. Places of Interest in Corbett includes Chauli ki Jali, where you can enjoy rock climbing and rappelling in a deep valley from where you can get the entire view of kumoun region and fell the presence on top of the world.

Himalayan complete ranges on back side of the Temple, including India’s second highest peak Nanda Devi can be best viewed from here. The sunrise point is at the government-run PWD Guest House is one of the beautiful attraction of Corbett where you can enjoy a cup of tea in cool airy breezes. Your trip to Corbett will be a great experience if you came here in the winter season you certainly find snow in this region.
