Mountain Resort Binsar

Mountain Resort popularly known as Khali Estate is located in the Binsar Wild life Sanctuary near Ayarpani village in Almora district of Uttaranchal. The Resort is situated on the top of a hill surrounded by pine and oak forest facing the vast panorama of the majestic snow clad mountains of the central Himalayas. Mountain Resort is situated at an altitude of 2000 meters (6600ft.) above sea level. It is 22kms. by motor road, north of Almora town. All types of vehicles including buses, cars and jeeps can easily come right up to the Resort. The peaks visible from the Resort are Nanda Devi (25645 ft.), Nanda Ghunti, Trishul, Badrinath (Chaukhambha), Kedarnath, Gangotri, Shivling, Bandar punch, Kamet, Nanda Kote etc.

Accomodation at Mountain Resort is provided in round cottages facing the vast Himalayan range. Those wanting an antique touch can opt for the bungalow (The main house). All the rooms in the bungalow and the cottages at Mountain Resort are furnished double rooms and each room has an attached bath cum toilet. There is 24 hour running water in the bath rooms. Each bathroom has a geyser for hot water facility.

A paradise sometimes is made to be lost. Right now, Khali Estate is treaded upon by few. You can just stand and stare or stroll through the 25 acres of Khali. watch the splendid view of the sunrise and the sunset, or simply relax in the peaceful serene atmosphere. Chances are that you will just want to sit back in Khali and watch the panorama of the imposing Himalayas. We have several activities in and around the Resort for our guests.

Booking Cancellation Policy

1) 60 days or more from the date of Check In, a 10% administrative charge will be deducted (of the total value of the booking).
2) Above 30 days from the date of Check In, 25% (of the total value of the booking), will be deducted.
3) 15 to 30 days from Date of Check In, 75 %( of total value of the booking) will be deducted.
4) Below 15 days, no refunds.

KHALI ESTATE IS LOCATED INSIDE THE BINSAR WILD LIFE SANCTUARY. KINDLY NOTE THAT THE BINSAR WILD LIFE SANCTUARY BARRIER GATE, CLOSES AT SUNSET AND OPENS AT SUNRISE.

The route from Kathgodam to Khali Estate is via Kathgodam, Bhowali, Garampani, Almora. Beyond Almora the rote turns through Kasardevi, Kaparkhan, Binsar Santuary gate to Mountain Resort.

Binsar, in ancient times the summer capital of Chand Kings who ruled Kumoun from 11th-18th centuries A.D. The popular Binsar wildlife century is situated here and was established in 1988 for the conservation and protection of broad leaf oak trees of Himalayan region and some endangered species of birds. The panoramic view of 300 km white snow covered Himalayas peaks like Kedarnath, Shivling, Trishul and Nanda Devi, Panchchuli can seen from here. Binsar is a beautiful, quiet and wild Himalayan destination with rich natural surroundings among dense forest of oak trees.

Binsar is situated on top of the Jhandi Dhar hills. This place is situated 33 km north of the Almora district. Almora is surrounded by abundant garlands of alpine flora, ferns, hanging moss and many other species of wild flowers, tourist can feel the presence of heaven just closer to them.
