Hill cottage - 2 Chimneys Gethia

The old house has been restored over 10 years, sporadically, as ideas and funds have trickled in. Saplings were planted that became trees. Seemingly dead wood sprouted as life was puffed into the house again, nature’s whimsical ways surround the house, and continually delight. The big prize is spotting the panther, as he passes by the house on most nights, moving between the two valleys. Gethia is a heaven for birdwatchers

As the years turned, it became clear that welcoming guests to Two Chimneys was the best way to share its beauty and to keep it in fine running condition. Two Chimneys opened for occupancy in April 2009, with 4 suites and 3 rooms.

The spaces spread from the terraces, the central wooden deck with swimming pool, the reading room and the lounge till the land’s end and beyond, to the watering hole.

Two Chimneys is not a five-star hotel. We don’t aim to be one. But we offer warm hospitality and old world charm. There are no TVs in rooms, but there is room service; the power supply might go on the blink in the village, but there will be no shortage of candles or assistance. It's our home and it pleases us to share its charm and joy with you. Two Chimneys is a twelve month destination with each season having its own magic. The lovely aspect of Two Chimneys is that it can be a peaceful base camp for you to explore the more touristy areas of the Kumaon region. There are numerous day trips that can be planned and catered for.

Accomodation

• Room tariff is payable in advance to confirm bookings.
• Check-in time is 2 p.m. Check-out time is 12 noon.
• Rates are for double occupancy inclusive of breakfast and bed tea
• 2 Kids below 6 years free (not applicable for The Study and Olive Room)
• 2 kids in the age group 6-12 years – Rs 800 each (inclusive of breakfast and extra bedding) (not applicable for The Study and Olive Room)
• Extra Persons in room – Rs 1,250 each (inclusive of breakfast and extra bedding) (not applicable for The Study and Olive Room).

Food & Beverages

• Fixed menus are offered at the per head rates:
• Set Lunch: Rs 300 per person. Rs 200 per child (6 –12 years old)
• Set Dinner: Rs 350 per person. Rs 250 per child (6 –12 years old)

We prefer it if you carry your own liquor..

Full Lodge Booking

This would mean booking the entire lodge, all four suites and three rooms, and having an exclusive run of all the facilities. On a sharing basis the Full Lodge booking will cater for a maximum of 25 people (children inclusive). All three meals will be included in this tariff (beverages, snacks, and drinks will be extra).
Christmas - New Year Fortnight, Dec 22 to January 5 - Rs 75,000 per day 
Rest of the Year – Rs 55,000 per day

Bhowali has a significant importance in the kumoun region because of its climate and its fruit market. It is well known fruit bowl of this region situated at an altitude of 1706 mt. on Nainital Mukteshwar Road and only 11 km from Nainital District.

At Bhowali, left side you can leave for Ranikhet and right side you can go for Mukteshwar and Bhimtal. The Fruit grown here in April – August season comprises Apple, Apricots, Plums, Peaches offers visitors a great experience in a delicious way. Bhowali has a pleasant climate having fresh and healthy air which suits people suffered with Tuberculosis and lung problems.

T.B. Sanitoruim Bhowali is well known center for Tuberculosis patients, which was built in 1912. The Panchachuli ranges of Great Himalayas can be seen here from here with a walking distance behind the Jungle area. Bhowali is center junction for all the major tourists’ places in Nainital District like Bhimtal, Naukuchiatal, Almora, Bageshwar, Mukteshwar, Ranikhet.
