Himalaica is the vacation home in Uttarakhand, created with painstaking care over the past ten years. It was created as a place to be, to pause and reflect, to meditate, to remember and to forget, and to bring back the balance in our live. That it is a labour of love is evident in the architecture, the interiors and the gardens.

Built mostly with local craftsmen in difficult conditions, the property achieves a unique character that seamlessly meshes the rustic with modern comfort – drawing ...its inspiration from the past, living in the present, and looking to the future. Unlike most  vacation homes in the hill stations of India that remain boarded up to be aired from time to time, Himalaica is a functioning home, with full-time staff, pets and all!

The old house has been restored over 10 years, sporadically, as ideas and funds have trickled in. Saplings were planted that became trees. Seemingly dead wood sprouted as life was puffed into the house again, nature’s whimsical ways surround the house, and continually delight. The big prize is spotting the panther, as he passes by the house on most nights, moving between the two valleys. Gethia is a heaven for birdwatchers

As the years turned, it became clear that welcoming guests to Two Chimneys was the best way to share its beauty and to keep it in fine running condition. Two Chimneys opened for occupancy in April 2009, with 4 suites and 3 rooms.

The world of Sarthak Inn, with vast stretches of flotation free land surrounded leg snow - capped kumaon Hills and picturesque hopes, where fresh cool refreeze is alrundant and multi-hued rays of rising sun and openness is really soul-stirring.

Sarthak Inn is situated on the Ramgarh road in Bhowali. Bhowali a calm and peaceful town, only 11 kms away from Nainital, is surrounded by the seven beautiful lakes in the region from here one can go uphill to Gaagar, Ramgarh and Mukteshwer. A panoramic view of the Himalayas can lie viewed from the above three places.

Imagine several sloping acres aesthetically packed with the pick of Mother Nature's verdant, colorful, fragrant and tasty bounty, surrounding a centenarian, gabled, red roofed, cottage; conveniently situated between Kathgodam and Nainital-in Jeolikote. And at a height of some four thousand two hundred feet, it is an all season, all weather destination.

The red cottage is also a great base for quick trips to temple towns and to explore the hills. Ranikhet and Corbett National Park are just a few hours’ drive away. Tramp the hills to discover ancient shrines, a cemetery or mysterious old ivy emblazoned cottages to unravel the idiosyncrasies of Jeolikote's colonial past.

The cottage is built up on an area of approximately 8000 sq Ft. comprising three and half stories, consisting of seven large suites, two large sitting areas, small attached dining section and a very large veranda on the first floor. A few steps walk from the entrance lobby and one can gaze out across the blue sky to behold the green and grey mountains towering up in all their dazzling majesty.

The Valley View Cottage offers five beautiful suites with sit-outs, closets and beautiful modern day bathrooms.Three suites are fully paneled with scented Deodar and two suites are half paneled in dazzling kail and shivalik pine.
