The area has always been considered “magical” and special as it lacks a filter in the atmosphere. Cottages are built with local stone, other with bricks using the cavity principle for insulation. British colonial style with kumaoni inspiration, the cottages are constructed with a minute eye to comfort, elegance and taste and all cottages and restaurant “Sangam” are heated in winter.

Our Kitchen is constantly creating new menus, combining refined international tastes. A wonderful “sangam” for guests from all over the world, which has resulted in warm and unusual friendships. We offer freshly baked bread, pastries and cakes, homemade pastas, locally harvested fruit reserves, pickles, mustard and mayonnaise, as well as herbs from our own herb garden, which produces a number of exotic and indigenous flavors and salads and as possible organic vegetables from the nearby villages.

The menus include Mexican, authentic European cuisine, Middle Eastern or Mediterranean and inspired buffet launches where one can sample humous, babaganoush, pita bread and tatziki ot rataouie. Breakfast and lunch on the sunny terrace or a romantic dinner in front of a cracking, open fire.

We are located in the heart of the kumoun region in Uttarakhand. The concept of the “Village tour” is unique as it provides an insight into the lives and daily routine of the Kumoun villager. Overnight stays in the village houses gives you a chance to experience their warm and genuine hospitality. The accommodation is rustic but clean and has all the basic amenities. Almora a cantonment town situated on the southern edges of kumoun region at a height of 5417 feet surrounded by dense forest of pine and fir trees with a scenic beauty of great Himalayas covered by white snow on the backside of the town. The palace had a great cultural importance with so many famous temples and sacred rivers Koshi, (Kaushiki), and Suyal (Salmale) flowing alongside this city. Almora District attracts many tourists through out the year because of its culture and festivals like Nanda Devi fair and 1000-year-old Nanda Devi Temple.

The best time to visit Almora April to June or September to November. Almora is well connected with all tourist destinations in Uttrakhand through road. The famous destinations to visit while on your Tour to Almora are Nanda Devi Temple, Chitai Temple, Katarmal Sun Temple, Jageshwar- one of the 12 Jyotirlingas, Binsar Bright end Corner, known for magnificent sunsets and sunrises. Places to Visit in Almora

Chitai Temple : Eight kms from Almora is the Chitai Temple, dedicated to Golu Devta. An incarnation of Gaur Bhairav, he is reputed to make every wish come true, provided the worshipper ask for it with a clear conscience.

Kosi Temple (10 kms): The temple was built in the 12th century by the Katyuri dynasty. One of the earliest Sun temples in India.

Gananath (47 kms): Gananath is famous for an old Shiva Temple and many interesting natural caves in a charming landscape. It is located 47 kms north of Almora.

Someshwar : About 35 kms north from Almora, Someshwar has an ancient Shiva temple considered to be constructed by the founder of the Chand Dynasty, Raja Som Chand.

Kausani : This charming hill resort set amidst several snow- capped peaks is endowed with exceptional natural beauty. Mahatma Gandhi came here in 1929, and was fascinated by the scenic grandeur of Kausani.

Jageshwar : The pilgrim site located in a verdant valley is 38 kms from Almora and is believed to be one of the twelve Jyotirlinga's in the country. The Swayambhu Linga named Nagesh is enshrined here.
