About Kausani
Kausani named as the 'Switzerland of India’. Kausani is a hill station situated in the Bageshwar district of the Uttarakhand state. There are very few places in the Himalayas region which can compare with the beauty of Kausani - a picturesque hill station famous for its scenic beauty and its spectacular 300 km-wide panoramic view of the Great Himalayas. It is located 53 km North of Almora District. Kausani is situated at an altitude of 1890 mts. above sea level.

Kausani lies on the atop the ridge admist dense Pine trees overlooking Someshwar valley on one side and Garur and Baijnath Katyuri valley on the other on Almora-Bageshwar-Didihat Highway. The beautiful landscape here adding charm to the beauty of Kausani. Trekking near Kausani is Pindari Glacier Trek, Sunder Dhunga Trek, Milam Glacier Trek. A few places of interest near Kausani are :- Baijnath ,Bageshwar ,Chaukori ,Berinag , Gangolihat, Patal Bhuvaneshwar, Gwaldam , Badhan Gari Mandir , Angayaari Mandir.
