About Binsar
Binsar, in ancient times the summer capital of Chand Kings who ruled Kumoun from 11th-18th centuries A.D. The popular Binsar wildlife century is situated here and was established in 1988 for the conservation and protection of broad leaf oak trees of Himalayan region and some endangered species of birds. The panoramic view of 300 km white snow covered Himalayas peaks like Kedarnath, Shivling, Trishul and Nanda Devi, Panchchuli can seen from here.
